Expressing that the highway is integrated with the Istanbul-İzmir Highway and TEM Highway from several points, and that it will be connected to the Kınalı-Tekirdağ-Çanakkale-Savaştepe Highway in the future, Karaismailoğlu said that they will establish a high-standard highway network around the Marmara Region, where economic activity is most intense. stressed.
Minister Karaismailoğlu pointed out that the project also includes the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, one of the most important engineering structures in the world, and stated that the bridge has the widest deck in the world with a width of 59 meters. Karaismailoğlu said:
“Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge was designed to allow high-speed trains and freight trains to pass over it. Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, whose towers reach a height of 322 meters, has a main span length of 1408 meters. The total length of the bridge reaches 2,164 meters with its side spans.”
