Pointing out that in the face of one of the biggest disasters witnessed in history, the state and the nation showed the strongest example of solidarity and cooperation by sticking together, Nebati said that Konya, with both metropolitan and district municipalities, has been mobilized since the first day of the earthquake disaster and has embraced the citizens of the earthquake. .

Pointing out that Konya, which produced 11.5 billion liras in 2004, reached a production performance of 149 billion liras in 2021, Nebati said, “Our Konya, in March 2023, increased its export of 130 million dollars in 2002 by more than 25 times in 21 years. With this performance, Konya became the 12th province with the highest export volume in Turkey in 2022. Our province, which had a foreign trade deficit in 2002, was 1 year on an annual basis as of February 2023, thanks to its high performance in global trade. It has managed to give a surplus of 8 billion dollars. We have provided our 6,808 tradesmen and craftsmen operating in Konya with approximately 1.8 billion liras of Treasury interest-supported loans through Halk Bank in 2022. In the first three months of this year, we provided the support we provided to 3,545 tradesmen and craftsmen in this context. It has reached 1.3 billion liras. Reminding that inflation, which has been on a downward trend since November 2022, declined to an annual level of 50.5 in March 2023, Nebati emphasized that they expect this trend to continue and inflation to decline gradually in the coming period. “Citizens should be more active in insurance”

Stating that they are working with all their efforts to minimize the negative effects of earthquake and flood disasters and that they use all facilities, especially the budget, in the most effective way, Nebati said, “Right after the earthquake, we allocated 100 billion liras to AFAD, and so far we have allocated approximately 40 billion liras in cash. We provide cash aid to our citizens affected by the earthquake and the relatives of our brothers and sisters who lost their lives. We provide transportation and rental assistance to our citizens who will be sheltered outside of container cities. We have made a total damage payment of 11.5 billion liras to date within the scope of TCIP. In our provinces of Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Adıyaman and Elbistan, We have examined all the damage files submitted to TCIP in all of our Islahiye, Nurdağı and Antakya districts and have made all the payments. We will complete the examination of the damage files in Malatya and Şanlıurfa within two days, and we will have made all the TCIP payments. We aim to complete the investigations and pay the full compensation costs.” he said.

Nabati called on citizens to be more sensitive about insurance and to be more active, especially in their real estate. Stating that they continue to work with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change to ensure the reconstruction and revival of the disaster area, and that they have provided all necessary financing as the Treasury, Nebati continued as follows:

“In the first stage, we are building more than 100 thousand container houses for our citizens in 11 provinces in the earthquake zone. We have started to lay the foundations of permanent residences. As we promised, we will complete the construction of 319 thousand residences and village houses within 1 year, and we will build a total of 650 thousand residences. It is as if we are establishing a country. The number of residences, workplaces, village houses and hospitals, the construction process of which has started throughout our country, has exceeded 56 thousand. On the other hand, we are increasing the limits of the support we provide for the urban transformation of buildings located in risky areas or at risk. “We will be able to benefit from an urban transformation loan of up to 1 million 250 thousand liras with the difference. We provide the opportunity for tenants who have been living in a risky building for at least 1 year to benefit from this loan, as well as homeowners.”


“No-interest loan up to 1.5 million liras to SMEs damaged by the earthquake”

Reminding that after the earthquake disaster, the Ministry rapidly implemented additional measures to support the citizens and the real sector, Nebati stated that they included the provinces affected by the earthquake within the scope of force majeure and postponed the tax liabilities of the taxpayers in the region. Pointing out that they increased the volume of KGF packages to 350 billion liras by increasing the volume of KGF packages in order to support the tradesmen in the region, Nebati stated that they have implemented the Earthquake Zone Operating Expenses Support Package with a bail volume of 20 billion TL and the Earthquake Zone Investment Support Package. .

Referring to the fact that the tradesmen and craftsmen in the region postponed their loans, Nebati said, “We provided interest-free loans of up to 1.5 million liras to our SMEs that were damaged by the earthquake so that they could meet their financing needs. In order to quickly revive our disaster-affected provinces, we extended the loans of our farmers, one of the most affected by the earthquake, for 1 year. “We have postponed it without interest. We have also provided feed support of 500 lira for cattle and 50 lira for sheep and goats. We have started to give our diesel and fertilizer support in cash. In addition, we will make up for all the animals of our farmers that perished due to the earthquake disaster.” used the phrase.

On the other hand, pointing out that they increased the minimum pension by 2 thousand liras to 7 thousand 500 liras, Nebati noted that they also increased the holiday bonus paid to retirees during Ramadan and Eid al-Adha to 2 thousand liras and that all these regulations also cover EYT members.
