Moving in an upward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index rose 9.76 points to 5,102.07 as of 13:00, compared to the previous close. The total transaction volume was 35.3 billion liras.
While the banking index gained 1.34 percent, the holding index lost 0.16 percent. Among the sector indices, stone was the highest earner with 3.62 percent, and land was the most declining with 0.71 percent, while securities and investment trusts.

Analysts said that the labor market in the country remains strong and that the inflation data to be announced tomorrow are expected to be more effective than the expectations regarding the future policy steps of the US Federal Reserve (Fed).
Analysts stated that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Global Economic Outlook Report will be followed in the afternoon and noted that technically, the 5.150 and 5.200 levels in the BIST 100 index are in the resistance position, and the 5.050 and 5,000 points are in the support position.
