Answering questions about the production process at the Boron Carbide Production Facility in Bandırma, Balıkesir, Yaşar Taşkın said that there are six types of products with different grain sizes in boron carbide.
Taşkın stated that two of the products are used for the production of armor in the defense industry, “We will only sell them to companies related to the defense industry in Turkey.” said.

Taşkın stated that the facility in question opened with an arc furnace on March 19, and that the work on the second, third and fourth arc furnaces is about to end.

Stating that the facility will reach full capacity in April, Taşkın said, “Starting from June, we will start to supply products primarily to our customers in Turkey. We currently have two important potential customers who manufacture armor in the defense industry in Turkey. One is in Ankara and the other is in Kayseri. These companies are obviously waiting for our production.” he said.
The best quality boron products in the world are in Turkey

But the boron carbide market is approximately 60 billion dollars. We have the ore, we have the boric acid. We will get our share of the market as well. ” said.
