TMO General Manager Ahmet Güldal said that as TMO, they took action immediately after the disaster and started working to meet the needs of earthquake victims and farmers.

Emphasizing that TMO operates in the provinces affected by the earthquake, Güldal stated that all facilities are currently in operation. Güldal pointed out that the product purchasing processes at the facilities are carried out in a way to support the producers in the region, “We provide all kinds of convenience to our producers in the earthquake. As TMO, we make purchases in the earthquake region without any type and quota limitations. We do not allow any victimization. We do our best to ensure that our producers do not have any products left in their hands. We’re doing our best.” he said.


“1 billion 432 million lira was paid”

Stating that TMO enterprises started to make purchases in the provinces affected by the earthquake as of February 15, Güldal said:

“After the earthquake, a total of 46,878 tons of corn and a total of 150 tons of wheat were purchased at our TMO workplaces. The products of the producers are also purchased through licensed warehouses. A total of 199,23 tons of corn, 3,800 tons of wheat and 1906 tons of barley were purchased in licensed warehouses. A total of 3 thousand 950 tons of wheat, 1906 tons of barley and 245 thousand 901 tons of corn were purchased from the producers in the region and 1 billion 432 million liras were paid. Thanks to the purchases made without quota and breed limits, the needs of the producers in the region were met.

“There is no problem in TMO stocks”

Expressing that there is no shortage of products in the warehouses as TMO, Güldal explained that they have the power to intervene against the fluctuations that may occur in the market after the Ramadan Feast.

Stating that the stocks are also supported by foreign purchases, Güldal added that TMO also has the effect of regulating the market with its own products.
