Turkish Statistical Institute announced the service, retail trade and construction confidence indices for April.
Accordingly, the seasonally adjusted confidence index increased by 1.1 percent in the services sector on a monthly basis in April. The index decreased by 1.3 percent in the retail trade sector and 0.1 percent in the construction sector.
Seasonally adjusted services confidence index, which was 116.8 in March, rose to 118.1 in April.
Compared to last month, the job situation in the service sector decreased by 0.1 percent in the last three months. In the last three months, the demand for services increased by 1.9 percent and the expectation of demand for services in the next three months increased by 1.5 percent.
Retail trade sector confidence index
Seasonally adjusted retail trade confidence index decreased from 117.7 in March to 116.2 this month.
In the retail trade sector, while the business volume-sales decreased by 3.7 percent and the current stock level of goods by 3.5 percent in the last three months, the business volume-sales expectation in the next three months increased by 3.2 percent.
Seasonally adjusted construction confidence index decreased from 88.5 last month to 88.4 this month.
Compared to the previous month, the current level of registered orders in the construction sector decreased by 0.2 percent, and the total number of employees expectation in the next three months decreased by 0.1 percent in the sub-index.
