President of Ankara Chamber of Marketers, Recep Ayhan, made an assessment regarding the exception application for market tradesmen.

President Erdoğan, in a statement in the Gemlik district of Bursa, stated that the conditions for being subject to the simple procedure were rearranged, and that the earnings of the market tradesmen in 13 metropolitan cities, which were excluded from this procedure, would also be included in the exemption application.

Ayhan said that 30 thousand market tradesmen still operating in 13 metropolitan cities, namely Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Mersin, Istanbul, İzmir, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya and Samsun, cannot be subject to the simple procedure according to the applicable legislation.

Emphasizing that the Presidential Decree, which is expected to be published soon after the legislative work carried out by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, will pave the way for the merchants operating in these provinces to benefit from the simple method, Ayhan said that in this way, the earnings of approximately 80 thousand marketers will be exempted from income tax within the framework of the determined annual sales terms.

Ayhan explained that although the market tradesmen work 8 months of the year due to the weather conditions, they still pay taxes in the “real way” in the provinces in question.

Pointing out that many market tradesmen hesitate to register because of the real method of paying taxes, Ayhan said, “Therefore, both our state’s income was falling and our market tradesmen could not retire. can benefit.” he said.

“There will be no difference between market tradesmen”

Ayhan stated that they have been demanding that the market tradesmen in metropolitan cities be subject to the simple procedure for many years, and noted that with the regulation to be brought, there will be no difference between the marketers in the whole country.

Emphasizing that the regulation will also benefit the citizens, Ayhan made the following assessment:

“With the simple taxation of market tradesmen, their expenses will decrease, and at least 6 thousand liras will remain in their pockets annually. When the cost of our market tradesmen falls, this situation is reflected in the price of the products sold and prices decrease a little. In this way, sales increase and tradesmen earn more.”

“In a short time, the kilogram of onion drops below 10 liras”

Pointing out that there has been a decline in fuel prices in the last few months, Ayhan said that this discount also brought down the prices of the products in the market.

Referring to the developments in onion prices, Ayhan said, “The harvest has started and the prices have started to decline. In a short time, the kilogram of onions falls below 10 liras.” said.
