According to the statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, TÜBİTAK continues its search for solutions against climate change in a multifaceted way.

Like the whole world, Türkiye is also turning to hydrogen. In this context, the “HYSouth Marmara Hydrogen Valley Project and the South Marmara Hydrogen Coast Platform Guided Project Signing Ceremony” will be pressed in two important projects.

The ceremony to be held at Atatürk Airport within the scope of TEKNOFEST to be held in Istanbul with the partnership of many organizations that play a critical role in the development of national technology in Turkey, Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank and TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal is also planned to attend.

Supported under the Horizon Europe Programme, HYSouth Marmara is also Turkey’s first hydrogen valley. In addition, this project breaks new ground by qualifying for the highest European Union contribution in the history of Turkey Framework Programs.

As part of the Southern Marmara Hydrogen Coastal Platform Guided Project, Turkey’s first domestic green hydrogen facility with the largest capacity will be established at Bandırma Energy Base.
