In order to expand the production of dry beans in Edirne, the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry distributes dry bean seeds with a 75 percent grant to the producers.
According to the statement made by the Directorate, the “Dissemination of Dry Bean Cultivation” Project was implemented in Edirne within the scope of the “Effective Use of Agricultural Lands” project implemented by the General Directorate of Plant Production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
The promotion of the project implemented by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the distribution of seeds were made in the village of Kadıdondurma in Meriç district.

Within the scope of the project, 8,700 kilograms of dry bean seeds will be distributed to 114 producers to be planted on an area of 875 decares.
Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Atilla Bayazıt, whose views were included in the statement, wished the project would be beneficial to the producers.
Saying that projects are being prepared to diversify and increase production throughout the province, Bayazıt said:
“Within the scope of the Project for Enabling the Use of Agricultural Lands, we are putting the plant production projects we have prepared in our province into practice according to our agricultural calendar. 8,700 kilograms of dry bean seeds to be planted on an area of 875 decares for our 114 producers who applied throughout our province within the scope of the project, with 75 percent grant from the Ministry, 25 percent producer. It will be distributed as a supplement.”
