The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the Consumer Price Index (CPI) figures for March.

Accordingly, the change in CPI was 2.39 percent compared to the previous month in March, 15.21 percent compared to December of the previous year, 43.68 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and 67.20 percent according to the twelve-month averages. .

The main group that showed the least increase compared to the same month of the previous year was clothing and shoes with 13.82 percent. On the other hand, the main group with the highest increase compared to the same month of the previous year was health with 66.62 percent.

In terms of main expenditure groups, the main group that showed the least increase in April compared to the previous month was housing with a decrease of 1.47 percent.

On the other hand, the main group with the highest increase in April 2023 compared to the previous month was communication with 5.93 percent.

While there was a decrease in the index of 24 main titles out of 143 main titles covered in the index, there was no change in the index of 6 main titles. There was an increase in the index of 113 main titles.

The change in the CPI excluding unprocessed food products, energy, alcoholic beverages and tobacco and gold was 2.74 percent compared to the previous month in March, 15.36 percent compared to December of the previous year, 48.02 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and According to the twelve-month averages, it was 62.48 percent.
