Turkish Statistical Institute announced the raw milk production statistics for 2022.
Accordingly, the raw milk production forecast, which was 23 million 200 thousand 306 tons in 2021, decreased by 7.1 percent in 2022 and became 21 million 563 thousand 492 tons. Compared to the previous year, buffalo milk production decreased by 31.5 percent, goat milk production by 13.2 percent, cow milk production by 6.8 percent and sheep milk production by 6.7 percent.
Last year, 92.3 percent of raw milk production was cow’s milk, 4.9 percent sheep’s milk, 2.5 percent goat’s milk and 0.2 percent buffalo milk.
