In a written statement from ÇAYKUR, it was stated that there was a delay in the wet tea harvest due to weather conditions, as it was last year.

In the statement, which stated that the green gold tea season of the Eastern Black Sea Region has opened as of today, the producers were asked to harvest and deliver the ripe green teas and not to harvest the product and keep it waiting.

In the statement, it was noted that the quality of tea starts from the garden, and the following was noted:

“We need to harvest tea free of all kinds of grass, dry leaves and garbage and not compromise on quality. It should be remembered that every improper harvest, a poor quality garden, destroys the future of our children today. It is necessary to leave more sustainable, healthy, productive tea and tea gardens to future generations with the work to be done now. We want you to know that it will happen.”
