In his written statement, Yanık reminded that with the Home Care Assistance launched in 2006, citizens with severely disabled relatives who need care and who cannot work because they take care of them are supported.

Minister Yanık stated that the Home Care Assistance was increased from 3 thousand 336 liras to 4 thousand 336 liras for the 2023 January-July period. Thousands of our citizens benefit from Home Care Assistance. I wish the payments will be beneficial to all our disabled citizens,” he said.

Emphasizing that, as the Ministry, they have developed policies with a rights-based perspective so that people with disabilities can fully achieve their basic rights such as education, health, security and employment, Yanık said:

“Let us express once again during the Disability Week that we are in, that we, as the ministry, will continue to work with all our efforts to solve the problems faced by our disabled citizens. Our goal is to first remove the barriers in our hearts and build a Turkey where all our citizens can live together in harmony, mutual respect and love. In this framework, we will act with our vision of the Century of Turkey in the field of disability and the vision of a society that leaves no one behind, and we will ensure that disabled individuals participate actively and independently in all areas of social life in their own social circles, without discrimination.”
