At the opening, the BIST 100 index decreased by 306.03 points and 6.38 percent compared to the previous close, to 4,489.58 points.
The banking index decreased by 9.54 percent and the holding index decreased by 7.86 percent. While all sector indices started the week with a decline, banking was the one that declined the most.
Moving in a downward trend on Friday, the BIST 100 index lost 1.08 percent and closed the day at 4,795.61 points.
