According to the statement made by the Ministry of Commerce, a truck that arrived at the Hamzabeyli Customs Gate was sent for x-ray scanning within the scope of risk analysis.

Encountering suspicious density in the truck, the teams took the vehicle to the search hangar and subjected it to physical control. During the control, all sacks in the trailer were meticulously examined.

The teams found that the sacks at the back of the trailer contained sunflower pellets, which are generally preferred as animal feed. It was determined that the top layer of the sacks was sprinkled with sunflower pellets, and the rest was filled with black tea.

As a result of the investigation, 19 tons of black tea with a market value of 6 million liras were seized.
