The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) announced the industrial capacity report data for May.
Accordingly, the number of capacity reports approved in May increased by 22.3 percent year-on-year to 4,137.
The first 5 provinces with the highest capacity reports were listed as İstanbul (1081), Ankara (305), İzmir (258), Bursa (226) and Kocaeli (168).
The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industry Database, which was 91 thousand 391 in May 2022, increased by 6.2 percent last month to 97 thousand 64. The total number of employees was calculated as 3 million 943 thousand 161 with an increase of 5.3 percent in the same period.
