Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the industrial production index results for April.
Accordingly, April calendar adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
When the sub-sectors of the industry are analyzed, the mining and quarrying sector index decreased by 12.2 percent, the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 4.3 percent in April compared to the same month of the previous year, while the manufacturing industry index remained the same.
The unadjusted industrial production index also decreased by 9.7 percent on an annual basis.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted industrial production decreased by 0.9 percent compared to March.
When the sub-sectors of the industry are analyzed, the mining and quarrying sector index decreased by 0.9 percent and the manufacturing industry sector index by 1 percent in April compared to the previous month, while the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 0.5 percent.
