Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu reminded that during the Eid al-Adha, passenger transport and traffic density will increase on inner-city and inter-city roads, and noted that they will tighten inspections.

Underlining that the inspections will continue during the holiday, Uraloğlu said, “Within the scope of the measures we will take, the sale of tickets at exorbitant prices will not be allowed. In addition, unlicensed transportation will be prevented.”

The teams affiliated to the General Directorate of Transport Services Regulation will work on passenger transport vehicles at passenger terminals, roadsides and highway inspection stations in 81 provinces.

Inspection teams will impose an administrative fine of 3 thousand 584 TL for the sale of passengers and exorbitantly priced tickets, 7 thousand 200 TL for vehicles and companies that make transportation without authorization, 3 thousand 584 TL for companies that do not depart on time.

In addition, the teams affiliated to the ministry took some measures in order to ensure that the citizens can travel comfortably and peacefully on the highways and state and provincial roads in their area of ​​responsibility, and to minimize traffic accidents, considering that the traffic density will increase.
