The process has accelerated, the work of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance continues. The eyes are on the regulation that will increase the lowest civil servant salary to 22 thousand liras net.

The work is expected to be completed in a short time. The regulation to be made will also affect the salaries of other civil servants. There are some formulas that are emphasized in this regard. It is envisaged that the said regulation will be completed before the Parliament goes into recess.

Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Lecturer Tarkan Zengin, who made evaluations on TRT Haber regarding the increase in civil servant salaries, said;

“Severity is expected to take into account the difference in salaries”

The issue that public officials are most curious about is how this increase will be reflected to other public employees. The basic expectation is that an increase is expected that takes into account the difference between the salaries, taking into account the title and seniority of the person, taking into account the difference between the wages.

“Salaries can be increased proportionally and a raise can be given on top of it”

One of these formulas is to make a proportional increase in salaries first and then to give an incremental increase. Apart from this, I can say that there are various formulas on the table, and certain projections will be made according to these formulas, and the salary increases of public employees in July will be realized.

“Inflation will be announced on July 5”

Salaries are paid on the 15th of each month. When you take into account the disclosure periods of the payrolls, this issue should be completed around July 5, July 6. Inflation will be announced on July 5th. The increase to be taken according to the collective agreement will be determined on that day.
