SGHM provided information on the “European Aviation Overview Report” of EUROCONTROL in its social media post.
According to the report, Istanbul Airport was recorded as the busiest airport in Europe with an average of 1525 flights per day. Antalya Airport also ranked 7th with an average of 1008 flights per day. Thus, Istanbul and Antalya airports managed to surpass their 2019 performances.
In the post, “Our country ranks 6th among the countries with the highest traffic volume in Europe with an average of 3,892 flights per day. THY AO ranks 3rd among the airlines with the highest number of flights in the specified period, with an average of 1685 flights per day” information was included.
