According to the compilation of Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OIB) data, automotive sub-industry products were exported to more than 200 countries, free zones and autonomous regions in the January-June period.
In the first 6 months of this year, 41.4 percent of the total automotive exports, which was 17 billion 336 million 757 thousand dollars, consisted of sub-industry products.
The sub-industry exports, which were 6 billion 488 million 673 thousand dollars in the January-June period of last year, increased by 10.54 percent in the same period of this year and rose to 7 billion 172 million 556 thousand dollars.
Sub-industry exports to Germany reached 1.7 billion dollars
In terms of countries, Germany had the highest share in supplier industry exports. Exports to this country in the 6 months of the year increased by 10 percent compared to the same period of 2022, from 1 billion 531 million 218 thousand dollars to 1 billion 691 million 823 thousand dollars.
Italy was recorded as the second country to which automotive sub-industry manufacturers export the most. In the January-June period of last year, 417 million 141 thousand dollars of products were sent to Italy, and the export made in the same months of this year reached 472 million 421 thousand dollars with an increase of 13 percent.
The supplier industry exports to Russia, which ranks third in the list, increased by 93 percent from 234 million 229 thousand dollars to 453 million 40 thousand dollars in the same period.
Sub-industry exports to France increased by 20 percent
In January-June 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, France was the 4th with a 20 percent increase and 441 million 77 thousand dollars, the USA was the 5th with a decrease of 9,8 percent and 414 million 828 thousand dollars, the United Kingdom was 13 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year. With an increase of 4 and 366 million 655 thousand dollars, Spain ranked 6th, while Spain ranked 7th with an increase of 11 percent and 359 million 988 thousand dollars.
Poland followed Spain with a 10 percent increase and 295 million 445 thousand dollars, Romania with a 15 percent increase and 222 million 896 thousand dollars, and Belgium with a 0.6 percent decrease and 175 million 375 thousand dollars.
Over 100 percent increase to Ukraine, Belarus, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan
When we look at the countries to which 1 million dollars and more are exported, an increase of more than 100 percent was recorded to Ukraine, Belarus, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan in the January-June period.
Sub-industry exports in the January-June period increased by 114 percent to Ukraine from 35 million 692 thousand dollars to 76 million 301 thousand dollars, to Belarus from 20 million 759 thousand dollars to 43 million 581 thousand dollars with an increase of 110 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year. It reached 32 million 253 thousand dollars from 1 million 295 thousand dollars with an increase of 2 thousand 389 percent, and Kazakhstan reached 27 million 28 thousand dollars from 12 million 326 thousand dollars with an increase of 119 percent.
