Turkish Statistical Institute announced the Agricultural PPI data for June.
Accordingly, the said index increased by 4.04 percent in June compared to the previous month, by 25.09 percent compared to December of the previous year, by 57.93 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and by 110.72 percent compared to the twelve-month averages.
Looking at the change in the sectors compared to the previous month, an increase of 3.7 percent in agricultural and hunting products and related services, 8.9 percent in forestry products and related services, and 13.23 percent in fish and other fishery products were recorded.
Compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 2.54 percent in live animals and animal products, 3.27 percent in perennial herbal products and 4.75 percent in annual vegetable products in the main groups.
According to the annual Agri-PPI, 4 subgroups showed lower changes and 7 subgroups showed higher changes. The subgroups with low annual increase were fiber plants with 2.1 percent, cereals (excluding rice), legumes and oil seeds with 22.51 percent, respectively. On the other hand, the subgroups with the highest annual increase were determined as live poultry and eggs with 118.96 percent, vegetables and melon-watermelon, roots and tubers with 93.66 percent, respectively.
According to the monthly Agricultural-PPI, 7 subgroups showed lower changes and 4 subgroups showed higher changes. The subgroups that showed a decrease compared to the previous month were the fruits of other trees and shrubs with 15.42 percent, fruits with hard shells, and oily fruits with 2.64 percent, respectively. On the other hand, the subgroups in which the monthly increase was high were calculated as 6.05 percent pome fruits and stone fruits, 5.7 percent vegetables and melon-watermelon, roots and tubers.
While the average price of 16 of the 82 items included in the index decreased, the average price of 63 of them increased.
