Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the consumer confidence index data for July.

Accordingly, the seasonally adjusted consumer confidence index, calculated from the results of the “Consumer Tendency Survey” carried out in cooperation with TURKSTAT and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, decreased by 5.9 percent in July compared to the previous month. The index, which was 85.1 in June, was recorded as 80.1 in July.

In the current period, the financial situation index of the household, which was 69.1 last month, decreased by 6.6 percent to 64.5 in July.

The financial situation expectation index of the household in the next 12 months period, which was 85.8 in June, decreased by 7.7 percent this month to 79.2.

The general economic situation expectation index in the next 12 months period, which was 92.7 in June, decreased by 11.3 percent to 82.2 this month.

While the index of the idea of ​​spending on durable goods in the next 12 months was 93 in June, it was calculated as 94.4 with an increase of 1.5 percent in July.
