Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance, quoted the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) tweet and shared on his Twitter account.
In the report announced by FATF today, Şimşek stated that Turkey was certified as being compliant with 39 of 40 FATF standards and made the following assessments:
“This situation is a clear manifestation of the importance we attach to the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism. Our country is determined to continue and increase its efforts in this context. We are determined to remove our country from the gray list with the effectiveness we will provide in practice.”
