In the communiqué published by the Revenue Administration of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, it was reported that the collected fines were waived in the period from March 11, 2020, when the coronavirus epidemic was first seen, to November 9, 2022.
In the Communiqué, the decision of the Constitutional Court dated April 5, 2023 regarding the penalties collected due to illegal acts within the scope of administrative sanctions aimed at preventing the spread of the epidemic was reminded. It was shared that the provision “The administrative fines that have been collected are not refundable” have been annulled by the Supreme Court.
Accordingly, the fines paid will be refunded in accordance with the procedures and principles to be determined by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, following the application to be made to the administrative unit that makes the collection until 31 December 2024.
