During the visit, “Implementation Plan on Cooperation in the Fields of Capabilities, Defense Industry, Research and Development”, “2 Sales Contracts between the Saudi Ministry of Defense and the Turkish company Baykar”, “Cooperation in the Field of Encouraging Direct Investment”, various agreements were signed in the fields of media and energy. receipt.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Turkey and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Cooperation in the Field of Promotion of Direct Investment was among the remarkable agreements of the visit.
Within the scope of the “Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA (Assault Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) export and cooperation agreement” signed between Baykar and the Ministry of Defense of Saudi Arabia, Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA will enter the inventory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Air and Naval Forces Command.
According to the information compiled from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turkey’s exports decreased by 0.5 percent in the 7 months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year and decreased to 143 billion 434 million dollars.
Turkey’s exports to Saudi Arabia increased by 1 billion 84 million dollars
Turkey’s exports to Saudi Arabia increased by 630 percent and reached 1 billion 256 million dollars. Thus, Saudi Arabia was recorded as the 25th country to which Turkey exports the most.
Saudi Arabia was also recorded as the second country to which Turkey exports the most in terms of value.
Turkey’s exports to Saudi Arabia increased by 1 billion 84 million dollars in this period.
In this period, Türkiye made the highest increase in exports to Russia with 2 billion 393 million dollars. In 7 months of the year, 5 billion 570 million dollars were exported to Russia.
Carpet industry continues to lead
Carpet industry made the highest amount of exports to Saudi Arabia with 173 million 86 thousand dollars.
The carpet industry was followed by chemicals and products with 129 million 95 thousand dollars, cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products with 124 million 633 thousand dollars, machinery and accessories with 98 million 175 thousand dollars, ready-made clothing and apparel with 95 million 951 thousand dollars.
The carpet industry led the way in the increase in exports.
The carpet industry recorded an increase of 168 million 436 thousand dollars in exports to Saudi Arabia in the 7 months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the increase in exports, the carpet industry was followed by cereals, pulses, oil seeds and products with 116 million 437 thousand dollars, ready-made clothing and apparel with 89 million 150 thousand dollars, iron and non-ferrous metals with 85 million 343 thousand dollars, machinery and accessories with 79 million 873 thousand dollars.
Exports to the country were 548 million 470 thousand dollars from Istanbul, 185 million 800 thousand dollars from Gaziantep, 83 million 525 thousand dollars from Ankara and 67 million 622 thousand dollars from Hatay.
