Eastern Black Sea Exporters Union Deputy Chairman of the Board Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan said that honey was sold to 47 countries, autonomous and free zones from Turkey in 7 months.
Stating that 19 million 13 thousand 292 dollars were obtained from the export of 5 thousand 846 tons of honey in this period, Gürdoğan said, “The USA, Germany and Israel were the 3 countries with the highest export sales. 8 million 240 thousand 1 dollars to the USA, 2 million dollars to Germany. Honey of 558 thousand 383 dollars and 2 million 190 thousand 606 dollars of honey was exported to Israel. said.
Drawing attention to the diversity of countries in honey exports, Gürdoğan stated that, unlike the same period last year, honey was sold to Croatia, People’s Republic of China, Sweden, Uzbekistan and Cameroon during this period.
Gürdoğan stated that honey exports have been canceled due to errors caused by some companies in the past months, and stated that they have high expectations from honey exports in the coming days.
Stating that they aim to increase honey exports, Gürdoğan said, “We believe that we can increase our honey exports, especially in European countries, Japan and the USA, with product diversity, organic products, geographically indicated products and branded product exports.” he said.
