The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the results of the industrial production index for the month of June.
Accordingly, calendar adjusted industrial production increased by 0.6 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year.
When the sub-sectors of the industry are analyzed, it is calculated that the mining and quarrying sector index decreased by 11.6 percent and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 3.4 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year. The manufacturing industry sector index, on the other hand, increased by 2.1 percent.
The unadjusted industrial production index also decreased by 10.47 percent on an annual basis.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted industrial production increased by 1.6 percent in the given month compared to May.
When the sub-sectors of the industry are analyzed, the mining and quarrying sector index decreased by 4.2 percent and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index decreased by 2.1 percent in June compared to the previous month. The manufacturing industry sector index, on the other hand, increased by 2.3 percent.
