According to the announcement on the Competition Authority’s website, Başkent Ankara Yayıncılık Eğitim Hizmetleri San. ve Tic. Ltd. Sti., Batuksan Education Services and Publishing Trade. AS, Bilfen Publishing and Trade. AŞ and Expert Career Bookstore Publication Distribution Education and Training Services Giyim Gıda Tic. Ltd. Şti’s distributors interfered with the resale prices and prevented their passive sales, imposed restrictions on the regions or customers where the dealers would sell the contracted goods or services, and thus violated the Law on the Protection of Competition.
Evaluating the information, documents and findings obtained in the preliminary research, the Board decided to open an investigation against the distributors.
The Board, operating in Kocaeli, Ali Korkmaz Private Education Institutions Gıda Transport Tic. and San. Ltd. Sti., Izmat Special Education Publishing Industry. ve Tic. Ltd. Sti., Murat Yildirim Education Services San. ve Tic. AŞ, Private Küçükaydın Education Services Trade Ltd. Sti. and Sungurbey Education and Trade Ltd. Sti. decided to open an investigation against him.
An investigation has also been launched against Canon Eurasia.
The Competition Board has completed the preliminary investigation on the allegation that Canon Eurasia Imaging and Ofis Sistemleri AŞ violated the Law on the Protection of Competition by determining the resale price of Canon branded products and decided to open an investigation against the company.
Investigation decisions taken by the Board do not mean that the undertakings or associations of undertakings against which investigation is initiated violate the Law and face or will be sanctioned.
