In the ranking of the countries sending the most visitors to Turkey, the Russian Federation ranked first with 3 million 498 thousand 614 people and an increase of 59.22 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Germany was the second with an increase of 7.32 percent and 3 million 211 thousand 724 people, England (United Kingdom) was the third with an increase of 14 percent and 2 million 63 thousand 740 people. These countries were followed by Bulgaria and Iran.
With 30 million 93 thousand 446 visitors hosted in this period, Turkey surpassed 26 million 524 thousand in 2019 and reached a new visitor record.
7.1 million foreign visitors came in July
The number of foreign visitors to Turkey in July increased by 7.25 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and amounted to 7 million 148 thousand 44.
In the ranking of the countries sending the most visitors in July, Germany is the first with a decrease of 2.12 percent and 941 thousand 597 people compared to the same month of the previous year, the Russian Federation is the second with an increase of 19.31 percent and 884 thousand 585 people, and the United Kingdom with an increase of 5.21 percent and 574 people. ranked third with 1,436 people.
