Organized in Bursa International Fair and Congress Center, under the leadership of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), with the cooperation of KFA Fair Organization and Uludağ Textile Exporters’ Association (UTİB), the fair brings Turkish textile manufacturers together with buyers from all over the world.
Qualified buyers visiting the fair from different geographies, primarily from Europe, Africa and the Middle East, met with Turkish companies that opened stands within the scope of the procurement committees coordinated in partnership with BTSO and UTİB and KFA Fuarcılık, a subsidiary of BTSO.
At the fair, which was organized with the participation of approximately 180 companies, the companies presented their 2023-2024 autumn and winter clothing fabric collections to the visitors. Important buyers from abroad came to Bursa for cooperation at the fair, which was held in 4 halls and a total area of 10 thousand square meters.
Bursa Governor Mahmut Demirtaş, in his speech at the opening of the fair, said that the fairs had a great share in introducing new products, improving the trade of the sector and getting out of the bottleneck.
Noting that Turkey’s textile exports are around 10 billion dollars, Governor Demirtaş said, “Bursa covers 830 million dollars of this. Bursa is number one in textiles. We believe that Bursa will also be a strong center in the future. I would like to ask all our entrepreneurs to produce products of higher quality and high economic value. ” said.
BTSO Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors İsmail Kuş stated that the Bursa brand continues to have a say in the textile sector in the world.
Expressing that they have organized the 10th organization in the textile sector, Kuş said, “We have approximately 180 companies at the fair. Together with our company that opened stands, we, as BTSO, host around 300 buyers from 51 countries with the contributions of our Ur-Ge projects. Together with those who come by their own means, the fair was attended by approximately 2 thousand foreign buyers. We believe that this organization will contribute significantly to our companies, our industry and Bursa’s economy.” he said.
Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş expressed that every new fair is a new excitement and thanked BTSO for bringing an important organization such as Bursa Textile Show to the city.
Pointing out that this fair is a serious gain for the city, Aktaş said, “Our companies will determine the new developments in the sector by meeting with guests from different countries here. Our industrialists have put their signature under a very good organization. A good synergy has also occurred with the support of Ur-Ge. The environment is very nice and the trade is very good. There is a serious potential here in order to develop the country. I sincerely believe that the fair will be doping economically before winter. Bursa industrialists go to the fairs, research and plan what they can do. These efforts are admirable.” made a statement.
Protocol members visited companies that opened stands at the fair.
Bursa Textile Show Fair can be visited until 7 September.
