Kaan Kavaloğlu, President of the Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association, stated in his statement that tourism activity in the city continues intensively.

Stating that the number of foreign tourists coming to the city by air in 8 months of the year exceeded 11 million, Kavaloğlu said:

“The number of guests coming from Russia, our main market, increased by 32.5 percent compared to the same period last year. The most preferred holiday destination for Russians was Antalya. Our other large-volume source is Germany. We hosted more than 2 million German tourists from here. In this market, “There is also a growth of 17.3 percent. Germany has a significant potential in terms of numbers and expenditures, in this respect, we have high expectations from this market. We expect the demand from Germany to increase even more, especially during the winter period.”


“There was a 15 percent growth”

Pointing out that an all-time record was broken in the UK market, which ranks third among the countries sending the most tourists to the city, with nearly 1 million visitors, Kavaloğlu pointed out that there was a 15 percent growth in this market compared to last year.

Explaining that this country is followed by Poland, Kavaloğlu said, “Poland is an important resource with great potential. There was a 40 percent increase compared to last year.” gave the information.

Kavaloğlu noted that there was a serious loss in the Ukrainian market due to the war, but a growth trend has been achieved recently.

Stating that Ukraine, which has seen a demand increase exceeding 100 percent, ranks 10th, Kavaloğlu emphasized that they expect the increase to continue in the winter period.
