At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose to 8,174.99 points, with an increase of 28.50 points and a gain of 0.35 percent compared to the previous closing.
The banking index increased by 0.19 percent and the holding index increased by 0.29 percent. Among the sector indices, the biggest gainer was stone and soil with 0.92 percent, and the only decrease was tourism with 0.48 percent.
BIST 100 index, which followed a selling trend yesterday, finished the day at 8,146.49 points with a 2.15 percent loss of value.
Analysts stated that a positive trend was observed in global equity markets, as the rise led by US technology stocks spread across the board.
