Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş stated that they support the intercity transportation expenses of primary, secondary and higher education students studying in different provinces from their families with transportation support, and announced that this assistance will continue in this academic year.
“We continue to take all precautions so that our students, who are the guarantee of our future, can continue their education life more comfortably.” Minister Göktaş said the following about the support program implemented in December:
“Our transportation support, which we have implemented to cover the transportation expenses of students in social assistance beneficiary households, will continue in this academic period. With this support program, we cover the round-trip transportation expenses of our students twice a year. The upper limit amount of the support we provide to our students for 2023 is one “While it was 750 TL for the direction, we have transferred 10 million TL to our Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations so far. More than 58 thousand students have benefited from our transportation support, which we have implemented to cover the transportation expenses of students in social assistance beneficiary households.”
Applications can be made to SYDVs
Minister Göktaş noted that they continue to support students and their families with transportation support. “We will continue to reach every member of the society by developing holistic and fair social service models. In this regard, we will be there for social assistance beneficiary households whenever they need support.” said.
Minister Göktaş reminded that applications for the support program in question should be made by the student or the student’s family to the relevant Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation located at the residence address of the students’ families.
