Weekly Money and Bank Statistics were published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).
Accordingly, as of September 8, the Central Bank’s gross foreign exchange reserves increased by 505 million dollars to 79 billion 271 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of 78 billion 766 million dollars on September 1.
During the said period, gold reserves decreased by 484 million dollars, from 41 billion 858 million dollars to 41 billion 374 million dollars.
Thus, the Central Bank’s total reserves increased from 120 billion 624 million dollars to 120 billion 645 million dollars in the week of September 8, an increase of 21 million dollars compared to the previous week.
While the upward trend in reserves continued for the 13th week in a row, the reserves, which were at 98.5 billion dollars as of the end of May, increased to 120.6 billion dollars as of September 8.
Thus, the increase from the end of May to the said date reached approximately 22.1 billion dollars.
