Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) published paid employee statistics for July.
Accordingly, the total number of paid employees in the industry, construction and trade-service sectors increased by 4.4 percent in July compared to the same month of the previous year. While the number of paid employees was 14 million 531 thousand 227 people in the same month of the previous year, it became 15 million 166 thousand 88 people in July 2023.
When looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In July, the number of paid employees increased annually by 1.3 percent in the industrial sector, by 14.7 percent in the construction sector and by 4.4 percent in the trade-service sector.
The number of paid employees increased by 1.0 percent monthly
The total number of paid employees in the industry, construction and trade-service sectors increased by 1.0 percent in July compared to the previous month.
When looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In July, monthly wage earners increased by 0.8 percent in the industrial sector, 3.3 percent in the construction sector and 0.6 percent in the trade-service sector.
