Developments in inflation data closely concern millions of civil servants and retirees, as well as SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees.
With the announcement of August inflation data, the two-month inflation difference in the raises that civil servants and retirees will receive has become clear.
The two-month inflation difference between civil servants and retirees was calculated as 12.73 percent. With the inflation difference, the 29.58 percent increase rate has been finalized.
How much will the salary increase be?
Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBÜ) Lecturer Tarkan Zengin said, “We have approximately 15 million retirees, including civil servant retirees, SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees. Civil servant retirees have salary increases in accordance with the collective agreement. When we come to January, civil servant and civil servant retirees will increase according to today’s projections. “It is anticipated that they will receive a salary increase of approximately 50 percent,” he said.
The 2-month increase in the salaries of SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees was calculated as 19.44 percent.
Inflation difference to salaries
Zengin says, “SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees receive salary increases twice a year, based on the last 6-month CPI. When we look at the Central Bank’s inflation targeting, it is estimated that the current increase will be around 37 percent.”
An additional increase in the raise rates or the addition of a welfare share in January is also a possibility.
Inflation data for September, October, November and December are expected to be announced to clarify the increase.
