Minister of Commerce Ömer Bolat, in his statement on his social media account, said that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was in the USA to participate in the discussions of the 78th United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

Stating that they will take part in President Erdoğan’s high-level official meetings in New York and will have a busy program where they will meet with business people, Bolat said:

“In order to further strengthen our economic and commercial ties, we will attend the Global Investors Conference hosted by Goldman Sachs on Tuesday, September 19, and meet with members of the American business community. On Wednesday evening, September 20, Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) – Turkey-USA By participating in the Business Council (TAIK) meeting, we will hold intensive discussions on the steps to be taken mutually towards the goal of increasing commercial and investment cooperation between Turkey and the USA. We will reach a previously determined mutual trade volume of 100 billion dollars with the USA, with which we have reached a mutual trade of 38 billion dollars by 2022. “We will continue our intensive work to achieve our goal, to increase the investments of American companies in Turkey and to have a stronger place for our country in the global supply chain.”
