President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Alibaba Group President Evans and Trendyol Group President Çağlayan Çetin.
During the meeting held in Istanbul, Michael Evans informed President Erdoğan about the investments they plan to make in Turkey and shared details about new investments such as the data and logistics centers they have implemented in Ankara and the export operations center at Istanbul Airport.
Stating that they have invested 1.4 billion dollars in the country through Trendyol as a result of their trust in Turkey, Alibaba Group President Evans stated that they support Trendyol’s international growth strategy.
Evans stated that Turkey has the potential to become the world’s leading e-export country and noted that there are 2 billion dollar investment plans here in the coming period.
