The post published on the ministry’s social media account said: “With the Second National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency, we will support the implementation of agricultural activities effectively, efficiently and sustainably.”
The post included a graphic with information about the agricultural sector under the Action Plan for the period 2024-2030.
According to the information in the graphic, a total of $600 million will be invested in the agricultural sector during this period.
As part of the use of renewable energies, waste heat recovery as well as heating, cooling and ventilation technologies are used in irrigation, agricultural production and storage areas.
As a result of the energy efficiency studies carried out, energy savings of 1 million tonnes of oil equivalent and an emissions reduction of 2.8 million tonnes will be achieved during this period.
